Covid-19 pummels Zimbabwe economy, managers

Business is concerned about the impact that coronavirus will have on the country's key human capital and the economy.
RBZ Governor John Mangudya said the rising coronavirus deaths in the country - including that of key managers in both the public and private sectors - was devastating for the economy.
He said it takes time to train or recruit business executives or experts while pandemics have a negative psychological impact on the economy as it induces fear in people.
Itai Rusike, the Community Working Group on Health called on Government to prioritise those in urgent need of vaccines when they do become available.
Notable names in business who have succumbed to the virus include Joseph Mashika, Winsley Militala and Kombo Moyana.
