Mine shaft collapses on 3 illegal miners

A seven metre deep shaft collapsed on three illegal miners at Tegwani farm, Mazowe yesterday killing one on the spot.
Lloyd Chrispen (21) of Wadzanai township in Shamva died on the spot after the shaft collapsed.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.
"I can confirm a fatal incident at Tegwani farm, Jumbo where Chrispen died on the spot after a mine collapse," Mundembe said.
It is alleged the now deceased Chrispen was with Ngoni Mushurwa and Tapiwa Bhachi while prospecting for gold.
The two escaped from the collapse and filed a police report.
