Man kills friend over girlfriend

The love of women cost the life of one Guruve man who was allegedly fatally stabbed by his friend.
The matter came to light at Guruve magistrates courts on Friday where Tichaona Gengezha (27) was not asked to plead to a murder charge before magistrate Geraldine Mutsotso.
Mutsotso remanded the suspect in custody to March 3 and advised him to apply for bail at High Court.
Prosecutor Albert Charewa told the court that on August 14 Gengezha and his friend the now deceased Russel Kandororo met at local shops in Guruve and had an altercation over a girlfriend.
Gengezha pulled a kitchen knife and stabbed Kandororo twice on the abdomen.
Kandororo went to the hospital and eventually succumbed to the wounds on August 24.
Gengeza was on the run but the police eventually caught up and arrested him.
