ZANU-PF politburo member Kenneth Musanhi on Sunday discouraged mourners to gather in huge numbers of more than 30 people.
Speaking at the funeral of newly elected Mazowe District Coordinating Committee (DCC) secretary for the disabled Sheilla Ruth Muranganwa in Glendale Musanhi said mourners should follow lockdown rules and regulations to avoid the spread of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
"We are mourning our DCC member but we should not forget that Covid-19 is real hence mourners who come here should not be more than 30 people," Musanhi said.
He further implored people to mask up and practice social distancing when in public.
Muranganwa was laid to rest yesterday in Glendale.
