Speeding car runs over, kills six pedestrians

Six pedestrians died on the spot this afternoon after a speeding white BMW ran them over at 135 kilometer peg along Harare-Mukumbura highway.
According to police sources, the accident occurred near Mt Darwin. One person escaped with serious injuries while six died on the spot.
"The speeding BMW ran over seven people and one escaped with injuries serious injuries," said the source.
It is further alleged that the BMW was trying to avoid a stationary vehicle and veered off the road thereby hitting the seven.
