Funeral Services driver kills boy in a hit-and-run accident

A three-year-old Mutare boy from Chikanga suburb died on the spot after allegedly being hit by a speeding Moonlight Funeral Services driver in a hit and run accident last Saturday.

The boy was in the company of his mother when the accident happened and the driver failed to stop and was only arrested after a follow-up was made to his workstation in the city centre.

Acting Mutare Central District police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Cosmas Maware, confirmed the accident and said they were charging the driver with culpable homicide
