Bush rapist jailed 14 years

A sex starved Shamva rapist who lured a 14-year-old girl into the bush and raped her has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by a Bindura regional magistrate.
Reminage Gwamakange appeared before magistrate Amos Mbobo yesterday.
Mbobo suspended four years on condition of good behavior.
Prosecutor Ngoni Kaseke told the court that on April 7 last year Gwamakange called the girl purporting to seek for assistance in cutting grass at his homestead.
He told the girl that he wanted her to assist his wife and she agreed on their way to his home.
They walked through the bush and tripped her down to quench his sexual desires.
She cried for help but no one heard her.
After the act the convict threatened to kill his victim if she divulged the incident to anyone.
The matter came to light through a tip off from social welfare.
