Journalists issued fake Covid 19 certificates

Media personnels who wanted to cover at Barbourfields Stadium over the weekend were issued fake Covid-19 certificates leading to the arrest of three Bulawayo men who had forged the certificates.


Contacted for comment police spokesperson Assistant commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.

He said, "the police in Bulawayo arrested  three suspects for issuing fake Covid-19 certificates to media personnels who wanted to cover a football match at Barbourfields stadium and investigations are still underway."

He further warned members of the public who are involved in fogery of Covid-19 certificates that they risk arrest.
