Senior citizen dies in scotch cart accident

A 63-YEAR-OLD Muzarabani man died on the spot after an ox-drawn cart he was travelling in overturned and trapped him to death.
James Fatizo of Mukwombe village,Muzarabani died on the spot after his oxen went beserk and hit a tree stump resulting in the scotch overturning and throwing all the three occupants away.
Mashonaland Central deputy police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo confirmed the case.
"I can confirm a fatal accident in Muzarabani where Fatizo died on the spot after sustaining head injuries, his two nephews escaped with minor injuries," Dhliwayo said.
It is alleged that Fatizo was driving his oxen going to his field when they became beserk and veered off the road before hitting a tree stump and the cart overturned.
Police warned people to lead animal drawn vehicles because animals' behavior is unpredictable.
"We urge members of the public to lead animal drawn vehicles because they can go beserk anytime since their behaviour is unpredictable."
