Construction of Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Express temporarily stopped

Construction of the $80 million Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Express (Airport Road) has temporarily stopped after the pieces of land used to pay the developer were declared wetlands.

The developer Augur Investments was given land in Borrowdale West, Gunhill and the Warren Hills Golf Course.

Augur Investments chairman Ken Sharpe confirmed the temporary suspension of work yesterday.
