Air Zimbabwe fraud latest

AN Air Zimbabwe senior manager has been picked up by police following an internal audit that unearthed gross irregularities at the national airline.
The senior manager had attempted to escape and was fished out of an aeroplane at the Harare International Airport.
Confirming the incident, Air Zimbabwe Board Chairman, Jonathan Kadzura said over US$100 000 is missing from the national airliners coffers.
He attributed some of the challenges that the national airline is facing to the unearthed scam and highlighted that they are working on tightening screws on corruption and fraud which is seriously hampering operations.
Air Zimbabwe has been facing operational challenges owing to a number of factors including the illegal sanctions imposed on the country by the west.
One of the managers believed to be the chief culprit in the scam is in the United Kingdom.
