Lightning strikes 3 people to death

THREE people died and seven others were injured last night after they were struck by lightning while having drinks at a local shebeen in Hatcliffe, Harare.
Harare provincial spokesperson Inspector Tadius Chibanda confirmed the deaths.
"There was a group of people who were drinking beer at a shebeen in Hatcliffe at around 7pm. They are said to have been struck by lightning and three died on the spot, while seven others were injured and are currently at Parirenyatwa Hospital," said Chibanda.
He said the incident was the first lightning tragedy recorded in the country this season.
