Teacher found dead in a classroom

A teacher from Chikora Primary School was last week found dead in a classroom after he had excessively consumed Zed, an illicit beer imported from Mozambique.
The beer, banned in the country, has over 40% alcohol content.
Police confirmed the death of Forward Chindedza of Dangamvura high-density in Mutare.
Manicaland province police spokesperson Inspector Enock Chishiri said: "When the security guard proceeded to investigate, he saw the deceased lying on the floor with an empty container of Zed beside him."
The deceased was bleeding from the nose and mouth.
The security guard alerted a senior teacher who also attended the scene.
Chishiri said cases of people dying from excessive drinking of alcohol were on the increase in the province.
He urged people to desist from putting their lives in danger by drinking illicit brews.
