Foreign Affairs Minister, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi and South African Minister of International Relations and Co-operation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane on Tuesday concluded that crossing the border between the two nations should remain a simple matter.

The two ministers discussed progress made on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on migration.

"This MoU basically abolished visa requirements between our two countries, making it easy for our citizens to cross our borders with relative ease," Ms Nkoana-Mashabane said.

Ms Nkoana-Mashabane  said South Africa - as the SADC - mandated facilitator - remains seized with the process in Zimbabwe, assisting the Zimbabwean political leadership to move towards the conclusion of the implementation of the GPA.

Both ministers called for the immediate and unconditional removal of illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the west.
