The Professor Welshman Ncube led MDC has reportedly refused to be used by the MDC-T to influence the election of the Speaker of the House of Assembly after claims that members of the Morgan Tsvangirai led faction had approached some of the MDC legislators soliciting for votes.
As jostling for the House of Assembly Speaker's position intensifies, there have been allegations of bribery arising from the MDC-T's quest to retain Mr Lovemore Moyo to the much envied position.
Sources in the MDC-T told reporters that the Morgan Tsvangirai led formation approached some members of the Ncube led MDC with cash offers to try and influence their vote.
The move is said to have angered Professor Ncube, who has unsuccessfully tried to replace Professor Arthur Mutambara as a principal of the Global Political Agreement.
Professor Ncube is reportedly bitter with the other two principals; President Mugabe and Prime Minister Tsvangirai, for allegedly failing to support his bid to become a principal.
