An audacious 17-year-old was caught recently writing an Ordinary Level examination for a candidate at Macheke High School.
The Lower Sixth Form  from Nyameni High School in Marondera was arrested on November 8 this year.
She was arrested while writing the Mathematics Paper 2 examination. She had, however, successfully written three other papers.
She was writing the examination for Tatenda Precious Matonhodze (31) of 1497 Mutiti Road, Morningside, Marondera.
Marondera prosecutor Ms Melody Masiye said Matonhodze allegedly hatched a plan, connived with her friend Concillia Nyamutswa to persuade the pupil to write the examination on her behalf.
Concillia Nyamutswa allegedly organised the meeting between the two.Matonhodze allegedly travelled to Mutawatawa where the former had hatched a plan with a processing officer at the Registrar-General's Office for an identity card for the pupil.
Allan Mudzviti (36) allegedly processed an identity card bearing the name Tatenda Matonhodze with the pupil's photo and fingerprints.
After processing the fake ID card, Mudzviti allegedly advised the pupil to burn the card as soon as she finished writing the examination.
The pupil, who had been promised US$300, was given half down.
The remaining US$150 was supposed to be paid after the examination.
The three are jointly charged with fraud. Ms Masiye alleges that on October 26, the two went to Macheke where the pupil was left writing the Synoptic Gospels paper.
