Zimbabwe foreign miners given 45 days to plan sale of stake

Zimbabwe ordered foreign mine operators including Aquarius Platinum Ltd. to explain within 45 days how they will meet government demands to sell 51 percent of their local assets to "indigenous" people, the company said.

Saviour Kasukuwere, indigenization minister, declared the disposals will be based on a "valuation agreed to between the minister and the non-indigenous mining business concerned,"said Johannesburg-based Aquarius, citing an official gazette.
