Man commits suicide after dispute with wife

A 38-year-old man from Makoni committed suicide by drinking poison following a domestic dispute with his wife.
Benjamin Mukumba of Mukumba Village under Chief Makoni in Rusape consumed Rogor after he quarreled with his wife, Tabeth Mutengo (36).
Manicaland police spokesman, Inspector Enock Chishiri confirmed the case and urged members of the public to seek professional counseling or third party advice to resolve disputes instead of resorting to suicide.
He said on November 17, Benjamin travelled from Harare to his rural home in Rusape after a heated dispute with his wife.
"He bought a 200ml bottle of Rogor on his way home and consumed it. He told his brother, Kingstone Mukumba that he had taken some poison but did not disclose the reason why. The brother gave him some milk in a bid to save him but it did not help and he later died on his way to hospital.
Meanhwile, Tobias Samafundo (27) of Matanda Village under Chief Marange hanged himself from a tree branch for unknown reasons.
His body was found by fellow villagers in a decomposing state with a rope tied on the neck.
