AN AFRICA University student who sired a child with a married man stunned court officials at the Mutare Civil Courts last week when she claimed that her boyfriend earns $850 000 annually.
Presenting her maintenance claims before magistrate, Mr Langton Mukwengi, Miracle Mlambo said the father of her child, Simbarashe Moses Ngowane, was a successful tobacco farmer and that he also had a fleet of taxis.
She demanded that she be paid $450 for the upkeep of the child.
"Your worship he has a tobacco farm in Mapembe Nyazura.
"He also has a video company at Cecil chambers and owns a couple of taxis, which are called Marasha," she said.
However Ngowane told the court that he can only afford to pay $50 on the basis that he has a wife and four other minor children to cater for.
He also denied owning all the properties that Mlambo alleged.
Mr Mukwengi adjourned the matter to a later date and he ordered Mlambo to bring proof of all the things that she alleged the defendant owned.
