Dynamos Football Club yesterday denied having authored a letter of acknowledgement of a US$2 800-debt to its former midfielder Edmore Mashiri.
Mashiri is suing his former club at the Harare Civil Court for an outstanding US$2 800 debt in signing-in fees and winning bonuses.
Through their lawyer Mr Tapuwa Pasirayi of Gill, Godlonton and Gerrans legal practitioners, Dynamos told the court that Mashiri repudiated his contract when he left to play for another football club before the expiry of his contract.
"While I admit that at some point Mashiri was signed to play for Dynamos, I also hasten to point out that he left to play for another football club before the expiry of his contract against the terms and conditions of the said contract.
"Dynamos vehemently deny that it authorised the letter of acknowledgement which Mashiri attached on his affidavit as evidence," Dynamos said.
Dynamos denied owing any winning bonuses to Mashiri.
