Gokwe - Two people died while six others were seriously injured when an unregistered Toyota Haice Kombi burst a front wheel and rolled over several times.
The Kombi, which was travelling from Gokwe to Kwekwe, overturned on the 80km peg after the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the tyre burst.
Assistant inspector Kahlamba of Gokwe Manoti police station, who attended the accident scene confirmed that two of the eight relatives who were travelling in the Kombi from a funeral died on the spot.
"The kombi had eight passengers who were coming from a funeral, but as they approached the 80km peg, a tyre burst causing the vehicle to overturn several times before being stopped by a tree," said Kahlamba at the accident scene.
