Seiso, the quiet giant laid to rest

The late Seiso Moyo Member of Parliament for Nketa Constituency has been described as a humble and selfless personality who managed to bring together people from all walks of life.
This was said by the Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai who is also the President of the MDC-T in Bulawayo today.
Speaking at the church service held for the late Moyo at Lutheran Church in Tshabalala President Tsvangirai said the late was a unifier who worked tirelessly for his country. Thousands of people from all walks of life hailed the leadership and humble qualities of the late Honourable Member of Parliament
"I have noticed that Members of Parliament and politicians in general do not have time to rest as they spend most of the time working for the country. He urged them all to have medical checkups at least once a year.
The President said Moyo was one of a few humble politicians who dutifully accepted responsibilities. He said it was easy to convince him to take up the post of Deputy Minister of Agriculture because he respected the MDC and the people of Zimbabwe.
"I knew that Hon Moyo was strong and that he would bring development to the region. I ask the family and all of you to be strong. We all have to be strong and carry the load that is ahead of us."
Speaker of Parliament Lovemore Moyo said Hon Seiso Moyo died due to a heart attack at the Avenues Clinic. He described the late Hon Moyo as a hero who selflessly served the country and the MDC party. Finance Minister and Secretary General of the MDC Hon Tendai Biti said the late Hon Moyo was a humble, simple faithful and loyal man who walked and lived religion.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Mr Ngoni Masoka said the late Hon Seiso Moyo was a communicator who hit the ground running in the Ministry of Agriculture. "He wanted to know how things worked in the ministry. He was down to earth and wanted to learn everything and was excellent in the discharge of his duties," said Mr Masoka.
Sipepa Nkomo said the death of Moyo is a blow not only to the MDC party but the region as a whole. He said Hon Moyo was passionate in farming and assisted people to take an interest in farming activities.
Minister of Mines Obert Mpofu also described the late Moyo as a selfless individual who worked with everyone despite their political affiliation.
