The court case in which Elton Mangoma, the MDC-T Deputy Treasurer General and Minister of Energy and Power Development is facing charges of insulting Robert Mugabe was postponed today to 25 January at the Bindura Magistrates' Courts.
Mangoma was served with summons to appear at the Bindura Magistrates' Courts last year on charges of undermining the Office of the President when he addressed an MDC-T rally in Mt Darwin last year.
The matter was postponed today after the State prosecutor notified Mangoma and the defence lawyers that the matter could not continue as the magistrate was involved in a car accident.
The number of people who are being arrested for insulting Mugabe has swollen significantly over the recent months.
The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) is representing over 50 individuals who have been dragged to court for calling Mugabe all sorts of names because of his misrule of the country and the economy.
