Government has secured US$147 million from the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) for the dualisation of the Norton-Kadoma road.
In a speech at the commissioning of pothole patching machines in Harare, Transport, Communications and Infrastructure Development Minister Nicholas Goche confirmed the development, saying his ministry will continue to source funds towards the rehabilitation of the whole country's road network.
The pothole machines were purchased by the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) with the assistance of Treasury at a combined cost of over half a million dollars.
With the new machines, work which normally takes a full day will be reduced to less than two hours.
