The trial of former Zifa chief executive Henrietta Rushwaya accused of concealing transactions from a principal will resume next month with Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Engineer Walter Mzembi expected to testify.

Prosecutor Mr Sidom Chinzete assisted by Mr Oliva Marwa requested for the postponement of the case citing that Minister Mzembi could not attend court.

"Your Worship, we ask if the matter could be postponed to February 6 because the key witness, Minister Walter Mzembi, could not attend court today because of some other commitments," said Mr Chinzete.

The Chitungwiza presiding magistrate Ms Sandra Mupindu remanded Rushwaya to February 6 while the attending witness, Dr Obediah Mazombwe, was advised to appear in court then.
