A Mwenezi man was mysteriously found stuck in a Greencroft home in the early hours of Friday morning. The man, identified as Fayton Matare, revealed that he was surprised to find himself in the house as the doors were locked.

The owner of the house, Livingstone Teya, an ardent follower of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa's UFI Church however believes it was a prophecy that came to pass. He claimed that Prophet Makandiwa, in his new year's declaration, had made a declaration that even "witches will be stuck" in your house.

"It was surprising to see this man in our house yet all the doors were locked. We do not know how he entered the house and there were no tracks of his footsteps because it was raining. However, it was a prophecy that came true to me and my family because the prophet had made such a declaration among others on New Year's Eve that even the witches sent to bewitch you will be stuck in your house. This is a true prophecy. That is the day he prophesied about the gold issue," he said.

Teya's wife reportedly woke up for the early house clean up, only to find Matare sitting on the floor in their study room, prompting her to scream. Her husband rushed to the scene and saw the 'overnight mysterious visitor' sitting in the house.

"My wife screamed when she saw him in the house and I rushed there. The first thing he said was I'm not a thief and we never attempted to beat him up," said Teya.

In a recorded video footage of the strange incident, the accused man revealed that he had no knowledge of how he got into the house. He revealed that he had come from Mwenezi and was staying with his brother in the same neighbourhood.

"I don't know how I got into this house. I was also surprised to find myself in the house because the last time I remember I was in the blankets. How I got into this house, I don't know because the doors were locked. I remember going to bed with my brothers and nephew and the next thing I found myself in the house," he said.

Further allegations are that he was found in the house sitting in a pool of urine. Matare's brother was called and he also revealed that he was surprised to find his brother missing in the house.

"We went to sleep but we do not know how he got out. His shoes are there next to where he was sleeping," said the brother.

Teya and his close associate and church-mate Donald Mhandu, who was also at the scene, were full of praise for their Prophet, though nothing much could be said about Jesus Christ.

"A lot has been said about the man of God. But I believe he is a true prophet," said Teya.

Mhandu said: "The prophet holds the future for Zimbabwe and we did not follow miracles there. We started going there in 2009."
