38 people struck by lightning

Eighty-six people have drowned while 38 others were struck by lightning across the country since the beginning of the rainy season.
Police say Manicaland Province recorded the highest number of casualties through drowning with 18 followed by Masvingo with 13.
So far, Bulawayo has had the lowest number with one person having drowned.
Masvingo is reported to have the highest numbers of 12 people struck by lightning followed by Midlands with 11.
Police are cautioning people from walking or driving across flooded rivers and bridges.
Motorists in cities have also been warned to drive cautiously as most potholes are filled with water which might result in accidents.
