THE constitution will allow citizens to hold dual nationalities and limit the president and some other elected officials to two terms in office, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has said in an interview.
The draft of the constitution will be ready by the end of next week, allowing voters to participate in a referendum on it by the end of March, Tsvangirai said in Davos, Switzerland, Tuesday where he is attending the World Economic Forum.
Zimbabwe will "definitely" hold elections by the end of the year, he said.
"We believe we can have this constitution drafted by next week," Tsvangirai said. "Since there is a national consensus by all parties, the referendum will be a formality."
The economy will expand 5 percent this year and will be able to grow at least 10 percent after the election is held, he said.
