THERE is entertainment galore tomorrow at Rufaro Stadium when musicians take on football legends in a charity benefit match. The match, rich in both spills and thrills, will see Premiership giants Dynamos and Black Rhinos bringing a professional flavour to the game.

Such is the beauty of this Chipaz Promotions Charity Match as it affords musicians a once-in-a-year opportunity to trade their guitars for football boots all for a worthy cause.

The musicians team has been taking the game seriously, practising for the past week to change the way they have been playing in the last five years.

Since the inception of the charity match, it is difficult to understand why the musicians have never beaten the football legends.

What is it that the yesteryear football legends have that musicians do not have?

Is it the stamina, when we know musicians like Alick Macheso, Somandla Ndebele or Nicholas Zakaria go for hours on stage. Is it that the musicians are incapable of doing other things besides playing the guitars?

Remember the football legends have long retired from the field of play and perhaps passed their sell-by dates.

Such is the drama that awaits fans when they throng Rufaro Stadium where the musicians will be itching to shock the football legends.

The musicians' line-up includes Victor Kunonga, Charles Charamba, First Farai, Leonard Zhakata, Clive Barangiro, Gulf Chinyavada and Howard Pinchisi.

However, some of the youthful musicians who have been roped in for this year's crunch match are King Shaddy, Guspy Warrior, Winky D, Sniper Storm, Freeman, Ngoni Kambarami, Trevor Dongo, Kapfupi, Peter Moyo, Jah Prayzah and the Chimbetus - Sulu, Allan, Douglas as well as Tryson.

There is a twist to this year's charity match as female musicians will play radio DJs.

Olivia Charamba will be the coach for the team which also includes Sehla Mtombeni, Sandra Ndebele, Plaxedes Wenyika, Diana Samkange, Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave and Claire Nyakudyara among others.

This year, some parliamentarians will play captains of industry as part of the fun.

As usual, the football legends team comprises Norman Mapeza, Agent Sawu, Brenna Msiska, David Mandigora, Freddy Mkwesha, John Phiri, Gift Muzadzi, Angirai Chapo, Alois Bunjira, Willard Khumalo, Callisto Pasuwa, George Rollo, Collins Kabote and Rahman Gumbo.

This year's charity soccer match will be held under the theme "Bhora/Umdlalo 2013".
