President Robert Mugabe is back home from an African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He was met at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Joice Mujuru, Minister of State Security, Dr Sydney Sekeramayi, service chiefs and senior government officials.
Speaking to journalists, the President said the meeting went well and added that most of the time was spent on trying to find solutions for troubled countries like Mali, DRC and the Central Africa Republic (CAR), among others.
"We discussed many things, it was time to kill not just two but three or four birds with one stone. We discussed the problems in CAR and Mali. We also got reports on the situation of SADC countries, that is the DRC and Madagascar," said Mugabe.
The President said the summit gave them an opportunity to discuss the Pan-African theme ahead of the organisation's golden jubilee set for May.
The continent will in May this year celebrate 50 years after the birth of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which is now AU.
