HARARE - The Big Brother star who was a refugee in the UK before being kicked out said : "There is no such thing as sitting on the fence," as she held a Mugabe umbrella recently" amid reports she is now a member of Zanu-PF Women's League.
Makhosi was awarded refugee status in the UK in 2006 after successfully claiming asylum when the UK home ministry cancelled her work permit as a cardiac nurse after going into the Big Brother show in contravention of her work permit rules.
She had claimed to the UK authorities that Mugabe's Secret service agents wanted to kill her.
At the time Makhosi claimed if she was to deported to Zimbabwe, Mugabe's security agents would kill her for tarnishing the country's image. She was later kicked out of the UK in 2011 for attempting to re-enter the country after a trip to Nigeria on a forged passport.
According to "The Zimbabwean" she is currently in Zimbabwe where she returned with no harm or questions asked after trying to settle in Nigeria.
She is said to be trying to make ends meet after failing to win a talk show contract with ZTV and her public show of Mugabe support is now being seen as a way to get something in her purse from those in Mugabe's party.
