School girl raped for $3

A 12-YEAR-OLD juvenile from a primary school in Sakubva was last week raped and dumped in a mountain by an unknown male adult.
The victim (name withheld) later reported the matter to the police who were manning a roadblock near Beira Turn-off.
Manicaland police spokesman, Inspector Enock Chishiri, confirmed the rape and said the culprit was still at large.
"We are appealing to members of the public to assist with information leading to the arrest of the rapist to contact their nearest police station," he said.
He said the victim met the culprit who asked her to accompany him to Beira Turn-off to help him carry loaves of bread.
He promised to give the juvenile an amount of $3 upon completion of the job. She complied and went with the man.
He waylaid the juvenile to a mountain near Beira Turn - off and raped her several times. He eventually vanished. The juvenile later picked herself up and reported the rape to police who were manning a roadblock near Beira Turn-off.
