Zanu-PF is waiting for a comprehensive police report before announcing its final decision on the suspension of Manicaland provincial chairman Mike Madiro and four others. In an interview

yesterday, Zanu-PF spokesperson Rugare Gumbo said they would wait for police to complete their investigations before taking a position.

"There is no other development at the moment but the party will wait for the final police report before announcing its position. Our position as a party will be guided by that report," said Gumbo.

The five were suspended on allegations of fraud and corruption involving over US$700 000 reportedly collected from diamond mining firms in Chiadzwa. They reportedly collected the money on the pretext that it was meant for party activities.

The other affected officials include  youth provincial chairperson Tawanda Mukodza, youth secretary for information and publicity Masimbakuvanhu Kangai.
