Two gardeners allegedly duplicated keys to their boss' house before stealing computer monitors and a plasma television set.
Amos Timamu (46) and Lovemore Kakore (45) yesterday pleaded not guilty to theft charges when they appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe.
Mr Mahwe remanded the duo in custody to February 28.
Prosecutor Mr Arnold Sakuinje alleges that the pair was employed at number 23 North Road in Chisipite.
On February 12 this year they allegedly connived to steal four, 27inch HP Compaq monitors and a Samsung 54 inch flat screen television which were locked in the main house.
They duplicated keys to the main house and took the electrical gadgets in the presence of two security guards who work with two trained dogs, says the prosecutor.
It is alleged there were no signs of breaking and entry.
Mr Sakuinje said a police report was filed.
During a search, Timamu was found in possession of a duplicate key to the main house and he implicated Kakore.
