National heroes' widows are getting a paltry $26 monthly as an allowance from government, meagre earnings which they at times go for months without receiving.
Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Social Services Lancaster Museka told Parliament yesterday adding the ministry only gave the widows their dues for the last 3 months of 2012 in January this year following a delayed release of funds from Treasury.
