MDC-T to hold Yes Vote campaign rallies at the weekend

The MDC-T has lined up several rallies across the country for the launch of the Yes Vote campaign in the next referendum on the new Constitution. The referendum will be held on 16 March.
The rallies to be attended by thousands of party supporters will be addressed by the party's leadership that will brief the people on the milestone achieved by the people of Zimbabwe in having a new Charter.
Vice President Thokozani Khupe will lead the MDC-T delegation to Matabeleland North for a rally at Dhlamini Business Centre in Tsholotsho on Saturday.
Lovemore Moyo, the National Chairperson will be in Zvishavane Town in Midlands South while his deputy Senator Morgan Komichi will be in Manicaland.
The Secretary General, Tendai Biti will be at Chinhoyi Stadium in Mashonaland West on Saturday while his deputy, Tapiwa Mashakada will travel to Mashonaland East at Sadza growth point in Chivhu.
Elton Mangoma the Deputy Treasurer General will launch the campaign in Bindura for Mashonaland Central province on Sunday with the National Organising Secretary, Nelson Chamisa addressing at Chitungwiza Tennis Court in Unit J on Sunday with his deputy Abednico Bhebhe at Dingimuzi Stadium in Plumtree, Matabeleland South.
The party's spokesperson, Douglas Mwonzora will be in Masvingo province at Nyamakwe Business Centre in Chivi with the Women's Assembly chairperson, Theresa Makone in Midlands North at Nemangwe Business Centre in Gokwe and Lucia Matibenga the secretary for welfare in Bulawayo at the City Hall Open Space.
Solomon Madzore will be at Tichagarika shops in Glen View for the Harare launch. The MDC-T is fired up about the new Constitution because it is one of its main goals since the formation of the movement in 1999.
Meanwhile, preparations for the Chitungwiza launch was disrupted last night when eight MDC-T members who were putting up campaign rally posters in Unit L were attacked by rowdy Zanu PF youth.
Those attacked are; Christopher Mubhoyi, Wilbert Ndiweni, Angeline Taruvinga, Essy Ancisa, Clara Magozore, Rufaro Manhembe, Gertrude Chidavaenzi, Kudakwashe Simbi, Loveness Chimombe, Tshinga Matengambiri. The attackers were identified as; Eman Dzuku, Zanu PF Chitungwiza youth chairperson, Clifford Chakwesha a Zanu PF member and Tafadzwa Chitsa a youth co-ordinator.
In Shamva South, Mashonaland Central province, Patrick Mugwambi was arrested last night on charges of unlawful gathering and currently detained at the Bindura Central Police Station.
Meanwhile, Stuart Wutawunashe, the MDC-T Harare East District vice secretary has been reported missing. Wutawunashe was last seen on Tuesday around 5 am. The party, relatives and friends have visited numerous police stations and mortuaries around Harare but their search has yielded nothing so far.
