MDCs unity bid collapses

Unity talks between MDC-T and the breakaway formation led by Welshman Ncube have all but collapsed as hardliners within the parties resist a united front.

Last month the teams from the 2 MDC formations were engaged in "unity talks" which have become stillborn as officials who stand to lose reject such an alliance.

This means President Mugabe will again, face a fractured opposition in next elections Ncube officials said the talks are on the brink of collapse because of PM Morgan Tsvangirai's big brother mentality as well as the secrecy surrounding the talks.
