Zesa eases load-shedding

The country's electricity generation had increased to 1 300 megawatts from an average of 1 200MW making it necessary for Zesa to scale down on load-shedding.
Total supplies have now reached 1 500MW boosted by imports from neighbouring countries.
Appearing before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Energy, Energy secretary Pattison Mbiriri said the resuscitation of a unit at the Hwange power station, among power supply on the back of conservative usage following the introduction of prepaid electricity meters.
