First Lady, Grace Mugabe, has warned Zimbabwe's young girls against being wooed by older men whom she said will lead them to destruction.
"You should be careful not to be abused by older men who use money to lure you into unsanctioned marriages and other immoral activities that destroy marriages and produce unwanted babies," she told 21st February Movement beauty pageant finalists who had visited her children's home in Mazowe.
She said that many children were being abandoned by young women putting pressure on existing children's homes.
She said present day Zimbabwe had many opportunities for women empowerment, adding that young women in the country should exploit them fully to fend for themselves.
The visiting beauties had the opportunity to see how the children lived in the home's houses with their mothers.
Mugabe also called on Zimbabweans to avoid violence in the coming referendum and harmonised elections saying peace and tranquillity were the backbone of any development.
She said that Zanu PF had been in existence for a long time and "in a period punctuated by peace and tranquillity."
