President Robert Mugabe is back home from the just-ended summit of SADC liberation movements held in Pretoria, South Africa.

The summit began with the leaders Robert Mugabe of Zanu-PF, ANC's Jacob Zuma, Jakaya Kikwete of Chama Cha Mapinduzi, SWAPO Prime Minister Hage Geingob, representatives from MPLA of Angola and FRELIMO of Mozambique laying wreaths at the sacred Isivivane site in honour of heroes and heroines of liberation movements.

President Zuma said the summit re-affirms and consolidates the values and virtues of the liberation movements in the face of global socio-economic and political challenges.

The leaders from the liberation movements hailed Zanu-PF for guiding Zimbabwe to a peaceful referendum and polls this year.

Zanu-PF Secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa, thanked the liberation movement leaders for supporting Zimbabwe ahead of the holding of the referendum and elections.

President Mugabe and his delegation was welcomed at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Joice Mujuru, senior government officials and services chiefs.
