Tenda bus overturns killing five people

Five people were killed while 10 others were injured, seven of them seriously when a Zambia bound Tenda bus overturned at the 244 kilometre peg along the Harare-Chirundu road last night after running over a cyclist.
The five include the cyclist.
Officer Commanding Police Kariba district, Chief Superintended Eddius Tembo said the bus veered off the road and the driver lost control after running over the cyclist.
Chief Superintendent Tembo said the bus overturned once and landed on its left side.
He said some passengers were trapped in the wreckage in the Elephant Walk area, which is 40 kilometres from Karoi.
The injured were taken to Karoi Hospital.
The bus crash came barely a few hours after 11 people died in a road accident that occurred near Fairbridge police station in Bulawayo on Friday afternoon.
