MDC secretary general, Tendai Biti, says Zanu PF officials are so bent that corruption is now a Zanu PF totem.
Biti said this as he drummed up support for the draft constitution in Masvingo.
"The new constitution has been crafted by Zimbabweans for Zimbabweans. It will certainly usher a new paradigm in terms of development. Look at the dilapidated state of roads and infrastructure. It is all because of the astonishing levels of corruption in Zanu PF. In fact corruption is Zanu PF`s totem," said Biti.
He added : "The new Constitution is vital for governance as we were governed by a very corrupt system. That is why we are trying to draft a new contract for the governance of the country because the country had been virtually reduced to Robert Mugabe Private Limited. For 32 years we have known one leader and we are therefore trying to come up with a new agreement."
He said the new Constitution sought to fulfil the unfinished business of the liberation struggle.
In Dotito MDC-T youth organising secretary for Mukumbura Ward 2 Mr Bayai Dzinzi acknowledged that Zanu-PF was a strong party that had defied all odds.
"Zanu-PF ndimuramba kupetwa gumbeze rerata (Zanu-PF is unbeatable)," he said while reciting a poem for MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai. The microphone was quickly taken from him. The organisers accused him of wasting time.
Addressing the gathering, Tsvangirai said it was his first in Dotito. He said he only knew other places such as Mount Darwin and he was in Dotito because of the constitution-making process.
"The truth is I am here for the first time. What brought me here is not Zanu-PF or MDC-T politics. I am here because of the draft constitution that was agreed to by all parties in the inclusive Government," he said.
He said that Zanu-PF seemed to be comfortable with the Lancaster House Constitution and was forced by his party to come to the negotiating table. Mr Tsvangirai said the new Constitution guaranteed freedom of expression urging people to vote for it.
He said the land reform was irreversible if the draft Constitution passed to be the Zimbabwe's new supreme law.
"There are others who think that if MDC comes into power it will reverse the land reform that is not true. Machinja akawanda aripano anotoda kupiwa minda," he said.
Mr Tsvangirai said the new Government would ensure that there would be no multiple farm ownership.
The Prime Minister had earlier addressed another gathering at Tendayi Hall in Bindura where he showed his affection for women.
He said Zanu-PF was fomenting falsehoods that the new Constitution was authored by him and it promoted homosexuality.
"Makanditarisa ndozvakaita ngochani izvi? A-h ndabva ndaona madzimai kusekerera," he said.
Mr Tsvangirai said the new Constitution promoted women's rights. He urged all people to go and vote for the new charter in the referendum set for Saturday.
The Prime Minister attacked the National Constitutional Assembly for mobilising a No Vote in the referendum.
He said he was the founding chairman of the NCA and its major objective was for a new constitution in Zimbabwe.
