Makoni district: Verification of ballots complete, 5 365 (YES), 2 484 (NO)

Verification of ballots for 5 of the 6 districts in Mashonaland West Province is still in progress.
Mashonaland West Provincial Elections Officer, Kenneth Kwaramba said only Makoni district has had its ballot verified with the district registering 5 365 YES votes against a NO vote of 2 484.
Mr Kwaramba said ballots for 11 polling centres in Lake Kariba are yet to be delivered to the command centre.
He added that a speed boat has since been dispatched to collect the ballot papers from the 11 polling stations.
