Zanu-PF has shifted its focus to preparations for the forthcoming harmonised elections following the successful holding of the referendum at the weekend, party national chairman Simon Khaya Moyo said yesterday.
Khaya Moyo said this to the visiting Russian delegation led by Director of the Institute for African Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences Professor Alexey Vasiliev.
Khaya Moyo said the peaceful voting that characterised the referendum was evidence enough to prove that the country could hold peaceful and credible elections.
"We are now looking forward to the harmonised elections that will be very peaceful as evidenced by the environment at the referendum.
"As Zanu-PF, we know we will definitely win the elections because we are the liberators of this country under the banner of Zanu-PF that was formed by two revolutionary parties Zanu-PF and PF-Zapu through our two forces Zanla and Zipra. These are the parties that liberated the country from the shackles of colonialism," he said.
