Zimbabwe adopts new Constitution after a landslide 92.9% YES vote

Zimbabweans have approved a new constitution and puts the turbulent country a step closer to holding full elections in the next few months, the election commission said on Tuesday.
The Copac draft constitution has been adopted as the new supreme law of the land by the people of Zimbabwe.
Announcing the results of the referendum this Tuesday afternoon, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Chief Elections Officer, Lovemore Chipunza Sekeramayi said 3 079 966 voted YES against 179 489 who voted NO. There were 56 627 spoilt votes.
