Zesa has restored power in Harare following a hailstorm that damaged Dema sub-station that supplied electricity to most areas in the capital.
Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company managing director Engineer Julian Chinembiri told The Herald yesterday that the situation had normalised.
He said the damage at Dema sub-station affected a number of areas in Harare.
Heavy rains that pounded Harare uprooted trees and destroyed several properties.
As of yesterday Zesa said it was receiving normal power supplies from Kariba and Hwange power stations while imports from Mozambique were also normal.
