Zimbabwe's militant black empowerment movement has sent its support and encouragement to ANC's Youth league President Julius Malema currently on trial in the Equality court facing charges for singing the revolutionary song "Kill the Boer".Malema has previously supported Zimbabwe's land reform and black empowerment initiative and has been on record saying South Africa should follow Zimbabwe's empowerment program.
"On behalf of the Affirmative Action Group, the vanguard of broad based black economic empowerment in Zimbabwe, I would like to categorically state that, as our honorary member ,the group is fully behind you during and after your court trial proceedings. Our entire membership is disturbed and extremely infuriated by the goings on at the Equality Court.
Indeed as you rightly put it, the revolution is on trial. It's our conviction that the arguments being placed before the Court by the plaintiff are simply frivolous and vexatious because;
1. Afri-Forum has no locus standi to represent the totality of the Boer population in South Africa. It's apparent that the Boers, who are part of the ANC alliance, see no intimidation is being poised by the 'Kill the Boer" song otherwise the complaint should have emanated from within the ANC structures.
2. It defeats reason that Afri-Forum would target to sue one person who ,in the first instance, did not compose the song and at the exclusion of the multitudes of revolutionary cadres who sang the same song in the past decades and still continue to do so.
3. The song has not incited any proven " kill" and there is no proven potential to do so. Despite all the love songs in the world, families remain haunted with divorce cases .
It s all our strong conviction that this litigation before us must be defended ruthlessly because the imperialist will move further to erase the heritage of the liberation struggle. We can't afford to contemplate what will be their next move.
As you may be aware, we are in the trenches fighting the Afri-Forum who took our government to South African court over the revolutionary and irreversible land reform . Futile attempts were made, using counter revolutionary judiciary to attach Zimbabwe assets which include houses and airplanes in order to compensate the white farmers notwithstanding that the compensation provisions is provided for in our domestic laws. Execution of the said properties was stopped after our Attorney General Johannes Tomana successfully argued that the South African Courts has no jurisdiction whatsoever to cause the enforcement of the Land Tribunal Court Order but the SADC summit. More so, the said properties are under diplomatic immunity and as such un-executable under International Law.
Comrade President, this serve to show you that Afri forum is desperate and in hurry to destroy and humiliate liberation movements. Like a Tuberculosis bacteria, Ku Klux Klan has evolved into the form of Afri-forum now masquerading as civil rights group. Where were they when Apartheid claimed the lives of black innocent masses? Are they going to sue the Australian Government for the continued injustices being perpetrated against the Aborigines?
Please advise when next you in Zimbabwe so that we can record the song ( video and audio) here in Zimbabwe to enable the masses hear the melodic and rhythm character of this sweet revolutionary song.
100% Julius Malema.
