Woman trashes hubby for marrying another woman

A 53-year-old Gweru woman, who assaulted her husband, 47, for marrying another woman, has been fined US$100 or serve two months in prison for her aggressive action.
Alice Muzira bashed her husband Mr Bernard Chapura after he married another woman, Ms Patricia Maswera.
Mr Chapura and Muzira had agreed that he marries another woman after she reportedly admitted to failing to satisfy his sexual desires.
Muzira was arraigned before Gweru magistrate, Ms Rutendo Muchena facing charges of contravening Section 4 (1) of the Domestic Violence Act Chapter 9:23.
She pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined US$100 or two months in prison.
The State's case as presented by Mr Bonwell Balamanja is that on January 4 in Nehosho Suburb, Muzira agreed that her husband ' Mr Chapura ' could take in a second wife since she could no longer meet his sexual desires.
Mr Balamanja said Mr Chapura brought home his second wife Ms Maswera and her sisters, Ms Prisca Maswera and Ms Fungai Mapuranga.
The court heard that on seeing the four, Muzira went berserk and attacked Mr Chapura with a stick until he fell onto the ground.
Mr Balamanja told the court that while assaulting the complainant, Muzira screamed and hurled obscenities at him.
Mr Balamanja said Mr Chapura managed to escape.
He said as a result of the attack, Mr Chapura sustained injuries on his head, shoulder and on his middle finger.
Mr Chapura was medically examined and the report was produced in court as an exhibit.
Mr Balamanja said Mr Chapura made a report of the incident to the police which led to Muzira's arrest.
