Man hangs self to death on a tree branch using his belt

A 43-year-old psychiatric patient took his own life by hanging from a tree branch using his belt on Monday.
Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara yesterday confirmed the death of John Mwanza of Verblyden Farm, Banket.
Police said the now deceased left home on Monday morning after indicating he was going to the bush to collect firewood, but never returned.
His body was reportedly discovered by 10-year-old Lorraine Banda of the same farm who was fishing on the banks of Musengi River.
Informant then alerted the deceased's brother-in-law Watson Saineti who rushed to the scene before reporting the matter to the police.
The body was taken to Banket District Hospital and no foul play is suspected.
