Zanu-PF last week was forced to cancel a highly anticipated politburo meeting expected to set rules for primary elections amid reports of mounting tension and leaks of highly classified party information on Baba Jukwa's Facebook page.
Zanu-PF secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa said the meeting was cancelled but refused to give reasons for the postponement, though sources said there is mounting fear of the existence of a mole within the party hierarchy.
Last month, details of the proceedings at the party's politburo meeting were leaked on Facebook by Baba Jukwa. There were fireworks at the Zanu-PF Politburo meeting nearly two weeks ago over a number of issues including the usual ongoing succession battles and the leaking of highly sensitive party information.
The source said President Mugabe who is Party's president and First Secretary, was very angry and ordered thorough investigations. At the meeting issues raised, after the usual opening hard-hitting remarks by President Mugabe, was by politburo member, ex-Governor Chivi-Mwenezi senator Josiah Hungwe were about the escalating leakage of sensitive party information through the media and social networks.
The reports of corruption in the handling of the indigenisation programme and the alleged plot to kill the governor of RBZ Gideon Gono and the vitriolic insults spewed by professor Jonathan Moyo in the State-controlled media were said to be the source of escalating cyber leaks.
At the politburo, a committee headed by the Secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa was tasked to investigate the leakage of sensivite information to the public through social media. They were tasked to even go deeper that if possible to know and find who Amai and Baba Jukwa are.
Amai and Baba Jukwa are two Facebook pages which have been rolling out 'sensitive' information about senior members of Zanu-PF and attakcs of the Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.
During the politburo meeting, George Rutanhira shouted to everyone's shock when alleged that Amai Jukwa is Jonathan Moyo working with Munyaradzi Kereke.
Meanwhile, last week Baba Jukwa revealed a name allegedly operating as Amai Jukwa. The UK-based person named is however linked to Secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa's close relative Temba Mliswa and former Information and Publicity Minister Bright Matonga.
